Membership and Evangelism
The First Presbyterian Church has a long history
of care and concern, not only within the congregation, but beyond our
doors as well. On September 17, 1893,
Reverend G.V. Albertson preached a sermon from the back of his buggy to
the settlers waiting in line at the land office the day after the
historic and tumultuous Cherokee Strip Run.
From our beginnings more than a hundred years ago,
First Presbyterian Church has sought to serve Jesus Christ and to
further his Kingdom.
Christian education has always been an important
part of our congregation’s life and support of missions, both local and
global, has been a constant. We seek to
have a balance between our programs, offering worthwhile fellowship for
our older members, our families with growing children, our youth and
our youngest, the preschoolers.
If you are seeking a church home, please join us
Sunday mornings. We’d be happy to extend
the hand of Christian fellowship and tell you more about First
Presbyterian Church of Enid.
Sunday School classes begin at 9:30 a.m. and
worship begins 10:50 a.m. We hope to see
you soon!
